European Startups raised capital in order to expand and move into more successful. Here is this week's Top European Startups Funding Roundup- 31 August – 04 September 2026.
Nexeon
Nexeon, a battery technology company based in Oxfordshire, UK, has raised €116.7 million (£100 million / $133 million) in its latest investment round. The UK’s National Wealth Fund invested €61.4 million (£52.6 million / $70 million).
PLD Space
PLD Space, a space transportation company based in Elche, Spain, has raised an additional €108 million in funding.
Cloover
Berlin-based Cloover, an AI-powered energy platform for homes, has secured a new €86.2 million ($100 million) funding facility.
iPremom
iPremom, a Spanish molecular diagnostics company, has raised €15 million in Seed funding. The company focuses on detecting pregnancy complications at an early stage.
Octave.energy
Mechelen-based CleanTech startup Octave.energy has raised €10 million in Series A funding. The company will use the money to expand across Europe and improve its energy storage solutions.
Amyl Therapeutics
Amyl Therapeutics, a preclinical stage biotechnology company developing an innovative technology platform to treat diseases linked to amyloid fibrils, today announces the successful completion of an €8.25M ($9.4M) extension of its Series A financing, with half of the funding provided through public grants and half by new private investors, including family offices and business angels, who have chosen to remain undisclosed, and existing shareholders, including Noshaq and Merieux Equity Partners.
Xorlab
xorlab, a Zurich-based cybersecurity startup, has raised €5 million in a Series A+ funding round. The company provides email security solutions for businesses using on-premises or cloud systems.
Zeit AI
Zeit AI, a startup building technology that can automate data engineering, has raised €5 million in new funding. The company plans to use the funding to expand its platform for mid-sized businesses across Europe.
Backbone
Brussels-based startup Backbone, which builds an AI platform for quality and compliance in the food industry, has raised €4 million in pre-Seed funding.
Piney
Piney, a Cyprus-founded company that provides cleaning and operations services for short- and mid-term rental property managers, has raised €1.6 million in new funding.
