iPremom Raises €15 Mn to Develop Early Pregnancy Complication Detection Platform

The funding will support clinical testing and the commercial launch of its MaiRa platform. The platform uses blood tests to identify early signs of pregnancy complications during the first trimester.

The funding round was led by Amadeus Capital Partners, with participation from Asabys Partners and APEX Ventures.

Founded in 2019, iPremom is a MedTech company based in Valencia, Spain. It focuses on predicting and preventing pregnancy complications at an early stage using molecular testing and AI-based technology.

Its MaiRa platform is based on more than 10 years of research by co-founders Professor Carlos Simón and Dr. Tamara Garrido. Their research focuses on finding early signs of pregnancy complications through molecular signals.

The technology can detect these signals in a mother’s blood during the first trimester, before any clear symptoms appear. This could help doctors identify potential complications earlier and take action sooner.
