PLD Space Raises €108 Mn to Expand Space Launch Operations

The new investment extends the company’s Series C funding round, which was first launched in March 2026. Mitsubishi Electric Corporation once again led the funding round.

Spanish public investment company COFIDES also joined the latest round after investing in the initial Series C. With this new funding, PLD Space’s Series C round has reached €288 million, while the company has raised a total of €488 million so far.

The backing of top-tier industrial, public, and financial investors confirms the strength of our growth strategy and accelerates our ability to commercialise MIURA 5, scale our production capacity, and secure financially sustainable, long-term commercial operations.”

PLD Space was founded in 2011 by Raúl Torres and Raúl Verdú. The company builds aerospace technology and provides launch services for small satellites.

PLD Space aims to make access to space faster, more reliable, and more sustainable. Its services are designed for space companies, research organisations, and government and commercial customers around the world.

The company manages the full rocket development process, including engineering, testing, manufacturing, and operations. Its product portfolio includes the MIURA family of rockets and the LINCE crewed capsule, which are designed to support different types of space missions and strengthen Europe’s capabilities in space transportation.
