Zero Raises €8.93 Mn Seed Funding to Build AI-Powered GTM Platform

Zero, a Helsinki-based startup, has raised €8.93 million (about $10.3 million) in Seed funding. The company is building a platform designed to help businesses manage their sales and growth activities in the AI era.

SUMMARY

  • Zero raised €8.93 million ($10.3 million) in Seed funding led by Primary Venture Partners.
  • Zero was founded in 2024 by Tuomo Riekki and Santtu Koivumäki.
  • Its platform aims to replace traditional CRM systems and multiple sales tools with one system.

The company has also launched publicly following the funding announcement. Zero aims to provide businesses with tools that make it easier to manage their go-to-market (GTM) operations.

The Seed round was led by Primary Venture Partners, based in New York. Other investors included Inception Fund, Defiant, Greens, as well as the founders of Lovable, Supercell, Langdock and Silo AI.

Zero had previously raised €2.34 million ($2.7 million) in pre-Seed funding in December 2024. That round was led by 20VC and also included several well-known technology operators and founders.

“Knowledge work is becoming more autonomous, and we will wrestle with existing legacy systems for a long time. Zero is building a GTM operating system that is autonomous by default. I’m excited to be backing a team with great craftsmanship and taste,” said Fabian Hedin, co-founder and CTO of Lovable and angel investor in Zero.

“AI has made it much easier to build products. It hasn’t made it easier to build a business around them. Marketing, sales and customer success teams still spend too much time switching between tools and keeping data up to date. We built Zero so a team can find, win and support customers without the manual work growing alongside the business,” said Riekki.

“I’ve led sales, customer success and revenue operations. Too much of the job was getting people to update records so leadership could see what was happening, instead of letting them spend that time with customers. That model is finished. The next generation of companies will win and support more customers with smaller teams because the tools they use will finally do their share of the work. That’s what we’re building with Zero,” said Koivumäki.

Zero was founded in 2024 by Tuomo Riekki and Santtu Koivumäki. Riekki previously co-founded Helsinki-based Smartly.io, while Koivumäki led the company’s go-to-market operations across five markets.

Zero is building a platform that aims to replace traditional CRM systems and multiple sales tools. It brings tasks such as finding potential customers, managing sales and tracking customer relationships into one system.

The platform uses AI agents to handle tasks such as creating prospect lists, sending sales emails and checking customer health after they become customers. This helps reduce manual work for sales and customer teams.

Zero wants to make traditional CRM systems less necessary. Its platform allows a single go-to-market professional to manage the customer journey, from the first sales message to renewal, while AI agents handle many routine tasks.
