Founded in 2024, 3D AI Studio allows users to turn text prompts or a single image into a 3D model within seconds. The platform runs directly in a web browser, so users do not need a powerful graphics card or special software setup.

Users can also prepare models for 3D printing. The company offers Flow, a tool that lets users build customised workflows through a visual, node-based interface.
3D AI Studio serves game developers, 3D printing enthusiasts, product designers and creative studios. It has attracted more than 1.9 million registered users across over 25 countries, who have created more than 4 million digital assets.

The acquisition marks saas.group's 27th successful acquisition and expands its presence in the growing market for AI-powered creative tools.
Jan Hammer, Founder and CEO of 3D AI Studio, commented, "I built 3D AI Studio alone, from a small town in Germany, because I wanted a tool that gets you from an idea to a usable 3D asset in seconds. It grew faster than one person could keep up with. The process with saas.group was fast and open, and it felt like working with people who have been founders themselves. Joining saas.group means I can finally build 3D AI Studio the way it deserves, with a team behind me and Tim Schumacher to learn from. For our users nothing changes today. What changes is what we can build next"
Tim Schumacher, Founding Partner at saas.group, commented, "Jan has built something genuinely rare: a profitable, self-funded AI product that over a million creators around the world actually use. He did it almost single-handedly, and at remarkable speed. 3D content creation is being rebuilt from the ground up right now, and we're excited to give Jan the platform and the people to keep 3D AI Studio at the front of it."
Founded in 2017, saas.group focuses on acquiring successful software-as-a-service (SaaS) businesses that have a strong market presence and annual recurring revenue (ARR) between $2 million and $10 million. The company helps these businesses grow and expand their reach.
saas.group has acquired 27 companies so far, including MyWorks, Tower, Rewardful, Prerender, Juicer, Seobility and Timebutler. Its products cover several areas, including online marketing, human resources, developer tools and customer experience.
The company has a team of around 400 people working across 30 countries. saas.group was founded by Tim Schumacher, former co-founder and CEO of domain marketplace Sedo.com, along with Ulrich Essmann, Tobias Schlottke and David Khalil.
