The company aims to modernize elderly care by replacing traditional emergency call devices with its emergency smartwatch. According to Patronus, conventional emergency systems have seen little innovation over the years, despite being widely used.
The company notes that around 1.2 million people rely on such devices, but studies indicate that only about 14% wear them consistently, highlighting a major gap in everyday usability and reliability.
The new funding will be used to expand Patronus’ position in the mobile emergency response market and to develop additional product features focused on family connectivity and wellbeing, including an AI-powered companion designed to support users in everyday situations.
“We want to create a world where ageing means safety, independence, and connection. Supported by technology that adapts to people, not the other way around,” said Ben Staudt, founder of Patronus.
