Detecht Raises €395K To Expand Its Motorcycle App Globally

The funding round includes participation from Chalmers Ventures along with existing investors.

Detecht offers a mobile platform for motorcycle riders that integrates crash detection, navigation, and social networking features. Using built-in smartphone sensors, the app can identify accidents such as crashes or falls, while also providing GPS-based route planning. Unlike standard navigation apps, it enables riders to choose scenic and curvy routes for a more engaging experience, and allows them to share routes, riding statistics and experiences with other users.

The company’s crash detection system is rooted in research from Chalmers University of Technology and the founding team originates from the Chalmers School of Entrepreneurship combining academic research with startup execution to build a scalable mobility solution.

With over 25,000 subscribers worldwide and an established footprint in the United States Detecht is seeing increasing demand for digital tools focused on road safety and rider support.

The new funding will help accelerate the company’s expansion across North America and Europe, while also supporting continued investment in product development and platform enhancement.
