SUMMARY

  • Grand Games has secured $70 million in a Series B funding round, taking the company’s total funding to $103 million.

The investment was led by Balderton Capital through its Growth Fund, after previously backing the company during its Series A round via the firm’s Early Stage Fund in January last year. Existing investors Bek Ventures and Laton Ventures also joined the round, alongside angel investor Mert Gür.

Founded in Istanbul by Bekir Batuhan Çelebi, Mehmet Çalım and Mustafa Fırtına, Grand Games develops hybrid casual mobile games built around short, engaging play sessions.

The company primarily focuses on puzzle-based titles that combine accessible gameplay with a data-driven development strategy.

Its games, including Magic Sort! and Car Match, have attracted millions of downloads, helping position Grand Games among Turkey’s fastest-growing startups.

The company reports fivefold year-over-year revenue growth and has completed three funding rounds within just two years of launching. Its valuation has also risen sharply since its previous raise.

Grand Games credits part of its momentum to its organisational model, which operates through five autonomous internal studios. These teams are given significant ownership over product direction and decision-making, while the founding team provides strategic guidance across the business.

The newly raised capital will be used to expand marketing efforts, scale existing titles and support upcoming game launches. The company also plans to grow its Istanbul-based workforce as it continues expanding its international footprint in the mobile gaming market.

We started Grand to build the kind of company we believed could unlock the full potential of great talent. Turkey has produced some of the strongest mobile gaming talent globally, and we wanted to create an environment where teams have real ownership over decisions, product direction, and outcomes, said Bekir Batuhan Çelebi, also known as Batu, CEO and co-founder of Grand Games.
