Undecimal Bio Raises €16 Mn in Seed Funding to Advance AI-Powered RNA Delivery Technology

Cambridge-based Undecimal Bio, a spin-out from Eleven Therapeutics, has raised €16 million (US$18 million) in Seed funding. The company is developing targeted delivery technology for siRNA medicines, which are designed to help treat diseases by controlling how genes work.

SUMMARY

  • Undecimal Bio raised €16 million (US$18 million) in Seed funding.
  • The round was co-led by 4BIO Capital and IQ Capital, with participation from Verve Ventures, Harel Tech, Entree Capital, Kerna Ventures, and Saras Capital.
  • The company will expand its platform, advance its renovascular programmes, and grow its team at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute.

The funding will help the company expand its DELiveri platform, which uses AI to identify ways to deliver RNA medicines to specific types of cells. This approach aims to help treatments reach the cells they are designed to target.

The funding round was co-led by 4BIO Capital and IQ Capital. Other investors included Verve Ventures, Harel Tech, Entree Capital, Kerna Ventures, and Saras Capital.

Undecimal Bio will also use the funding to advance its renovascular programmes, which focus on diseases affecting the kidneys and blood vessels. The company plans to expand its team at its laboratories at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute.

“The hard problem in RNAi was never the silencing, it was getting the molecule to the right cell,” says Dr. Yaniv Erlich, CEO and co-founder of Undecimal Bio. “Our in-vivo validated DELiveri platform can screen large chemical spaces at an unprecedented pace, generating massive data for our legions of AI agents to decipher the structure-activity relationship and score the best candidates. We are excited to bring these advances to develop the next generation of siRNA therapeutics for the benefit of patients.”

Founded in 2026, Undecimal combines large-scale chemical testing with AI technology to develop siRNA treatments that can reach specific tissues in the body.

RNA interference has helped scientists develop treatments for diseases that affect the liver. However, delivering these treatments to other tissues remains a major challenge, limiting their use for a wider range of diseases.

Undecimal aims to solve this problem with its DELiveri platform. The technology uses AI to help identify molecules that can carry siRNA medicines to the right types of cells.

The platform tests large libraries of potential delivery molecules and uses cells to identify which ones work best. It can detect successful delivery at the level of individual molecules, helping researchers find more effective ways to deliver RNA-based treatments.
