The Medical Travel Company Raises €3.8M To Expand Cross-Border Medical Services

The round was led by Nexus Venture Partners, with participation from 4CAST, a sports-led investment group co-founded by England cricket stars Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer, and Indian cricketer KL Rahul.

TMTC provides a full-stack medical travel platform, connecting UK patients awaiting elective care with internationally trained clinicians in globally accredited hospitals across India. Services include UK doctor involvement, post-surgery insurance and end-to-end logistics, covering travel, in-house aftercare, and recovery.

With roughly 7.7 million UK residents facing long waits for elective procedures in areas such as orthopaedics, dental, IVF, gynaecology, ophthalmology and urology, demand for cross-border care is rising. Over 500,000 UK patients travel abroad annually for faster, lower-cost treatment, but the market remains fragmented, with opaque pricing, variable quality, and limited aftercare.

Founded by Sahil Jain and Ankit Mehrotra TMTC addresses these gaps with a structured, clinician-led approach. UK doctors stay involved throughout the care journey, patients are paired with certified hospitals, and a 12-month post-surgery insurance plan ensures coverage back home. Personalized aftercare and concierge logistics provide a seamless patient experience.

The new funding will support expanding clinical partnerships in the UK, establishing certified treatment pathways, and developing technology to maintain complete medical records, ensuring continuity of care when patients return home.
