With its new fund, Seed Capital also plans to expand beyond Denmark and invest across the Nordic region, with a particular focus on Sweden.
According to Christian Brøndum, Managing Partner, broadening into the Nordics is a natural extension of the fund model they've built over 20 years combined with bringing their track record across the region.
“Staying close to founders is central to how we work and with the Nordics. Here we can be on the ground in under an hour and be there for the founders we partner with.”
Christian Brøndum, former CEO of Planday, has joined Seed Capital as Managing Partner. Geeta Schmidt, former CEO and co-founder of Humio, has also joined the firm as General Partner.
They will work alongside Lars Andersen, who has more than 20 years of experience in venture capital. He has served as a General Partner across all five of Seed Capital’s funds.
Together, the team brings a mix of startup and investment experience. Brøndum and Schmidt have first-hand experience of building and running companies while Andersen brings deep experience in investing in startups.
This combination allows the team to work closely with founders and understand the challenges they face. It also gives them the investment and strategic experience needed to help startups grow.
