DefenceTech Startup Six Robotics Raises €12 Mn in Seed Round

Six Robotics, a DefenceTech startup based in Oslo, has raised €12 million in a Seed funding round to speed up the development and deployment of its autonomy software for unmanned systems.

The funding round was led by DTCP Defence, with participation from EIFO, Scale Capital, and other private investors. The new funding will help the company expand its technology and bring its software to more customers.

“Software-defined autonomy and swarming at scale are among the most technically challenging areas in modern defence, and Six Robotics is one of the few European teams with the capability to build at this level. Their software-first approach enables interoperability across platforms while giving defence organisations greater operational flexibility. We have great trust in Christian Fredrik and the team and look forward to the journey ahead,” said Ole Aguirre, partner at DTCP Defence.

“EIFO invests in Six Robotics to accelerate defence innovation that can benefit Denmark and our allies. The company’s hardware-agnostic drone swarming and autonomy platform is at the forefront of the technologies that will be decisive in the future of warfare. We wish to strengthen the Nordic collaboration and support that the company plans to set up activities in Denmark later in 2026,” said Sara Sande, Managing Director, Partner, and Head of Direct Thematic Venture at EIFO.

“We built Six Robotics from five people to almost 90 employees with friends and family funding. Now, for the first time, we have the backing to match our ambitions. DTCP, EIFO, and Scale Capital have already proven their value through the process itself, and I look forward to what we can build together”, said Christian Fredrik Eggesbø, CEO and Founder of Six Robotics.

Founded in 2023, Six Robotics is a DefenceTech startup that develops software for unmanned systems such as drones. Its technology helps these systems operate more independently and perform better in difficult environments.

The company aims to make autonomous systems more reliable, efficient, and easier to use in defence and security operations. Its software helps improve decision-making, reduces the need for human control and supports safer and more effective missions.
