Red Rover Interactive, an ambitious game production firm dedicated to crafting unique and incredibly captivating multiplayer experiences, has raised over €14 million in series A round. With the help of gaming behemoth KRAFTON

This round takes place just 11 months after the over €4.7 million Seed, and less than a year after the original conception. Together with current investors The Games Fund, Behold Ventures, GEM Capital, Lifelike Capital, and Acequia Capital, Tirta Ventures and Overwolf have also made investments.

Red Rover Interactive plans to expedite the creation of its debut release, codenamed "Project Coltrane," with the help of this additional money.

Fred Richardson, Red Rover CEO, stated: “Our rapid progress to date can largely be attributed to our commitment to validation driven development, deeply involving our community and content creators right from the get-go. It has been a cornerstone of our development philosophy, ensuring we really focus on the most impactful things to our playerbase over everything else.”

Maria Park, VP, Head of Corporate Development Div. at KRAFTON expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: “Investing in Red Rover Interactive feels like championing ‘the right people’ crafting ‘the right game’. Their commitment to player-centric, iterative development resonates strongly with PUBG’s ethos, emphasizing player feedback and iterative design. We have had the privilege of witnessing their immersive development approach firsthand during weekly playtests with players and streamers. The remarkable progress demonstrated in each updated build has been a testament to their passion and expertise. Also, drawing from Fred’s experience, the team has ingeniously tackled common challenges in the sandbox survival genre. We’re thrilled to partner with Red Rover and support the team’s vision for Project Coltrane.”

With an emphasis on providing a distinctively fast-paced and replayable PVP experience set in a post-apocalyptic train setting, Project Coltrane seeks to usher in a new era of survival gameplay.
