The company is developing technology that helps auditors review a company’s financial records before an acquisition. Its platform uses AI to make the financial due diligence process faster and easier.
“A large share of junior professionals' time currently goes on collecting, checking and adjusting data before it can be interpreted. By automating that part of the work, Opio lets them spend their time earlier on analysis, judgement and client relationships,” says Fulchiron.
“The core of the job remains human: understanding a business by talking to its management, interpreting its numbers with professional judgement, setting them in the context of its sector.”

Opio was founded in Paris in 2025 by Tristan Fulchiron and Olivier Chancé. Fulchiron previously led engineering teams for the French government, including the Ministry of Defence, and later worked as a digital adviser to the Interior Minister.
Co-founder Olivier Chancé has built engineering and data teams at startups and growing technology companies in Brazil and France. He has also worked as a founding engineer.
Opio uses AI to collect, check, and organize financial data. The company says its technology can save transaction services professionals around 27% of their time on a process that traditionally takes auditors several weeks and involves a lot of manual work.
Opio currently earns 15% of its revenue from outside France and plans to increase this to 50% within the next year. The company sees France, the UK, and Germany as important markets for its growth.
Opio is also planning to launch a second product in early 2027. In the long term, the company wants to expand its technology across the wider financial auditing industry and has already started working with statutory auditors on certification work.
