UK-based Nous has raised $17 million in new funding to expand into international markets and add more features to its AI assistant. The company helps households manage everyday administrative tasks and find ways to reduce their spending.
SUMMARY
- Nous raised $17 million to expand internationally and improve its AI assistant.
- Heartcore Capital, Mosaic Ventures, Chalfen Ventures, Joyance Partners and Bain Future Back Ventures.
- Manages household admin, tracks deadlines, flags costly renewals and books appointments.
The funding was provided by Heartcore Capital and existing seed investor Mosaic Ventures. Other investors in the round included Chalfen Ventures, Joyance Partners and Bain Future Back Ventures.
Nous also received support from several angel investors. These include founders and entrepreneurs linked to Monzo, GoCardless, Founders Factory, Faculty.ai and Onfido.
Commenting on the company's approach, Greg Marsh, founder and CEO of Nous, said: "We’ve spent the last 18 months building and honing an agent that not only feels magic, but is also one people can actually trust. If you are allowing an AI agent to make financial and purchasing decisions on your behalf, you need to know it’s up to the job. That’s why Nous is laser focused on its vertical of household spending and admin, and why we take safety and privacy so seriously."

Founded by Greg Marsh, the entrepreneur behind the luxury accommodation marketplace onefinestay, Nous has built an AI-powered platform to help households manage regular expenses and everyday tasks.
The platform helps users save money by finding cheaper deals and switching to better service providers. It can also cancel unwanted subscriptions and highlight expensive renewals.
Nous also takes care of everyday administrative work. It can fill out forms and flag contract terms that may be unfavourable to users. This helps households avoid unnecessary costs and make better decisions.
Beyond managing expenses, the AI assistant helps families stay organised. It can manage family calendars, send reminders about important deadlines, find local tradespeople and book appointments.
Unlike tools that only offer advice or send reminders, Nous can take action on behalf of users once they give permission. Its technology combines large language models with rule-based systems to handle specific tasks more carefully, especially those involving financial decisions.
