SUMMARY
- Konsileo has raised €5.9 million (£5 million) in new equity funding.
- The round was led by Committed Capital, a long-term investor in the company.
- Konsileo plans to use the funding to support its continued growth and expand its business.
The funding round was led by Committed Capital, a long-term investor in the company.
Steven Harris, CEO of Committed Capital, said, “We are delighted to have completed this round and to deepen our long-standing commitment to Konsileo. John, Peter and the team have built one of the fastest-growing independent brokers in the UK, and they have done it organically, broker by broker, rather than through acquisition.
“That growth rests on two things that are very hard to replicate: a proprietary broking platform that strips out administration, embeds compliance and is now putting AI to work for brokers, and a culture that consistently attracts the most talented people in the industry. Konsileo is showing what a modern commercial broker looks like, and we look forward to supporting the team through its next phase of growth.”

Warburton, co-founder and CEO, Konsileo, said, “We’ve always believed that great brokers do their best work when you give them autonomy, equip them properly and support them rather than manage them. Our growth is a testament to what happens when you offer something genuinely different to ambitious brokers who want to build brilliant client relationships.”

Konsileo was founded in 2017 by John Warburton and Peter Henderson. The two founders wanted to change the insurance industry, which they felt was slow to adopt new technology and often involved too much paperwork and bureaucracy.
Warburton has held senior roles at Aviva, Accenture and Allianz. At Konsileo, he has introduced a “Teal” organisational model that focuses on self-managed teams, coaching and giving employees more freedom to make decisions.
Henderson brings a strong technology background to the company. He worked on web digitisation during the 1990s and has used his experience in technology and platform development to help build Konsileo’s digital platform.
