Berlin Cybersecurity Startup Kazimi Raises €2.2 Mn to Secure Mobile App Data

The funding round was led by Market One Capital with participation from IBB Ventures and several experienced executives from the mobile and technology industries.

Kazimi is developing security technology that helps mobile app developers check whether activity on their apps comes from real users or automated bots.

Its technology protects signals sent by mobile apps and helps developers collect and verify first-party data. It also helps identify non-human activity while protecting user privacy.

"Until now it has been technically impossible for app developers to have true visibility on which signals originate from real users and which signals come from bots. Kazimi was founded in 2024 by August Joseph (CTO), Chase Gummer (CEO), Ville Mikkola (COO) and Naumann. The company is building technology to protect the communication signals generated by mobile apps.

Its technology helps app developers collect and verify first-party data, detect different types of bot activity and identify real users versus fake users. The system is designed to support these tasks while following privacy and compliance requirements.
