Itoflow Raises $2.5 Mn to Build AI Agents for Investment Research and Portfolio Management

AI investment platform Itoflow has raised $2.5 million in pre-Seed funding. The company is building technology that helps professional investment teams use AI to automate research and manage portfolios more efficiently.

SUMMARY

  • AI investment platform Itoflow has raised $2.5 million in pre-Seed funding.
  • The round was led by Balderton Capital, with angel investors also participating.
  • Itoflow will use the funding to expand its engineering and research teams, develop its product and support commercial and regulatory work.

The funding round was led by Balderton Capital, with participation from angel investors including Barney Hussey-Yeo, founder of Cleo.

Founded in 2026, Itoflow is developing AI agents that can learn how investment firms research opportunities, assess risks and manage portfolios. The platform turns each firm’s existing investment approach into automated workflows.

Itoflow supports several types of investments, including stocks, bonds, ETFs, commodities and digital assets. Its AI technology is designed with a focus on security and reliability so the agents can operate for longer periods.

During pilot programmes, investment teams can provide their investment strategies, risk limits and review rules in simple language. Itoflow’s AI agents then use these instructions to conduct research, test investment ideas, monitor portfolios and identify important changes.

The platform aims to help investment teams research more opportunities and monitor more portfolios without needing to significantly increase the size of their research teams.

"Our long-term research goal is to build self-improving investment agents. As an agent supports a mandate over months and years, it should learn which approaches continue to hold up, identify promising new signals and recognise when an apparent edge has decayed. Within the parameters set by each investment team, these agents could become a powerful tool for continuous discovery, "said Aditya Jha, co-founder and CEO of Itoflow.

Itoflow will use the new funding to grow its engineering and research teams, speed up product development and support its business and regulatory activities.
