The company offers publishers, studios, and people an all-in-one visual foundation model. The approach makes it simple for anyone to produce high-quality video content, including those without technical knowledge or experience.

Haiper will create and make available a number of sizable trained models within the upcoming months. Through play, experimentation, and feedback, Haiper's users will increase the capability and potential of its in-house designed visual foundation model.

In order for video-generative AI to advance, businesses must scale the models and data that support them. A multitude of minute visual details, including as light, motion, texture, and object interactions, are contained in each video frame.

Generative AI will be able to produce visually attractive and lifelike material from a splash of water to a linen shirt blowing in the breeze. This AI will be able to instinctively perceive and duplicate the emotional and physical parts of reality.

With this specific goal in mind, Haiper's specialized team is training its perceptual foundation model using infrastructure for scaleable distributed data processing and model training.

This means that Haiper's developments in video material are a step toward the development of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), or AI that can absorb and reflect knowledge of the world similar to that of humans.

Haiper's distributed infrastructure will enable its perceptual foundation concept to be used to areas other than content generation as the firm grows. Artificial intelligence (AI) with the capacity to comprehend, decipher, and produce intricate video content will also have a profound awareness of its surroundings and find use in a variety of other sectors, such as robotics and transportation.

Dr Yishu Miao, co-founder and CEO of Haiper, comments: “Our end goal is to build an AGI with full perceptual abilities, which has boundless potential to assist with creativity. Our visual foundation model will be a leap forward in AI’s ability to deeply understand the physics of the world and replicate the essence of reality in the videos it generates. Such advancements lay the groundwork for AI that can understand, embrace, and enhance human storytelling. Our time in stealth was spent building up crucial distributed data processing and model training infrastructure, which we’re excited to use this funding to scale.”

Rebecca Hunt, Partner at Octopus Ventures, adds: “At Octopus, we look to back exceptionally talented founders who have a unique insight into a market and a strong technical edge. Only resilient, experienced teams can build cutting-edge products and solutions, and with Haiper, this is no different. Haiper's deeply technical foundations have enabled it to innovate and make breakthroughs at a pace we haven’t seen in the AI Video space; it is sure to become one of Europe’s big AI players.
