WeRoad, the Italian adventure travel company, has raised €49 million ($58 million) in Series C funding to support its first major expansion outside Europe and bring its community-driven travel model to the United States.

The round was led by Airbnb with participation from existing investors including H14, the lead investor from its 2023 Series B round. The latest investment brings WeRoad’s total funding to €85 million ($100 million).

Founded in 2017 WeRoad has grown into one of Europe’s fastest-expanding travel operators. In 2025 the company launched WeMeet, an initiative that enables people to connect locally through in-person events and shared experiences.

Powered by a network of more than 4,000 coordinators, WeRoad has helped over 300,000 travelers explore the world across 1,000+ itineraries.

The company reports strong customer loyalty, with around 60% of users rebooking annually and roughly one-third of bookings driven by word of mouth.
