SUMMARY

  • Munich-based allO, an AI-native operating system built for restaurants, has raised €12 million ($14 million) in Series A funding to support its European expansion and accelerate the deployment of its AI-powered digital workforce.

The funding round was led by Zigg Capital and included participation from new investors LifeX Ventures, Aperture, and Wecken & Cie. Existing backers also reinforced their commitment, with 20VC which led allO’s Seed round in 2024 and Keen Venture Partners, an early pre-Seed investor, participating again after backing the company across three consecutive rounds.

The round also attracted notable angel investors, including Fabian Siegel, co-founder of Marley Spoon, alongside Mark Ransford and Ludwig Fuchs, founder of Realtime Technology AG. To support the next phase of growth, allO has expanded its leadership network with Elizabeth Chrystal of Zigg Capital, former Momofuku CFO, as well as industry veterans Cornelius Everke and Matt Baumgartner joining its board and advisory structure.

Founded in late 2020 by Liu, Teodor Rupi, and Benedikt v. Lewinski, allO was created to modernize restaurant operations through a unified platform that combines POS, integrated payments, reservations, kiosks, delivery, webshop, and back-office management all enhanced by AI-driven digital employees.

Originally introduced during the pandemic as a scan-to-order solution the founders quickly identified a larger challenge restaurants were constrained by fragmented and outdated technology systems. In response they rebuilt allO into a comprehensive POS and payments platform before expanding it across front-of-house and operational workflows in 2024.

Today onboarding takes less than 30 minutes compared with the weeks often required by legacy systems while restaurant operators can manage revenue, orders and operations through a single dashboard instead of juggling multiple platforms.

As part of its AI roadmap, allO is launching its Reservation and Ordering Agent the first in a planned suite of more than ten digital employees expected over the next 12 to 18 months. The voice-powered assistant handles incoming calls and automatically processes reservations and takeaway orders directly into the platform.

allO now supports more than 1,000 active restaurant locations across Germany, ranging from independent neighborhood venues to multi-site regional chains. Since its Seed funding, the company reports a sixfold increase in locations and 3.5x year-over-year revenue growth with referrals accounting for 30% of new customer acquisition.

Looking ahead allO plans to introduce additional AI solutions, including an Inventory Agent to automate supplier ordering and inventory tracking and a Menu Agent designed to update menus instantly across channels while optimizing margins and sales performance.

“Restaurant owners are the perfect user group for AI. They want the work done. They don’t want to learn another piece of software. Most aren’t tech-savvy, and they shouldn’t have to be,” said Cancan Liu, Founder and CEO of allO. “We leverage our all-in-one platform to build digital employees that get the job done for them, instead of teaching them how to press buttons.”
