It’s scientific work is backed by 30 randomized controlled trials, most of which are published in peer-reviewed journals. The funding was led by Mutuelles Impact, managed by XAnge, with support from MMV, HealthCap, Expon, and DVH Ventures.

A major goal for HelloBetter in 2025 is to enter the French market. Mutuelles Impact, a €95 million fund focused on social and environmental impact, is primarily supported by 65 French Mutuelles, which are health insurance providers complementing the national social security system.

It plans to use this partnership to launch pilot programs and form long-term partnerships in France. The company is also working towards regulatory approval by the HAS to ensure reimbursement for its treatments across the country.

HelloBetter CEO and co-founder Hannes Klöpper said, "This funding will enable us to do three things: become a household name for mental health in Germany, launch new, innovative products and, with the support of XAnge and its 65 Mutuelles partners, bring our proven digital mental health solutions to the French market”,.

Nadja Bresous Mehigan, Partner XAnge Impact. “The regulatory framework is still very new in France and carries promising perspectives for companies such as HelloBetter that have very early on focused on conducting high-quality clinical studies to demonstrate the effectiveness of their digital therapies. HelloBetter has also proven to yield significant volumes of prescription activations in Germany and associated revenues, we believe it is well poised to continue generating economies of scale on the European market.”
