Intuitivo raises €1.35 million to ease teachers’ workload and expand into Brazil

Portuguese EdTech startup Intuitivo has raised €1.35 million in seed funding to help teachers reduce their administrative workload.

The round was led by Caixa Capital and the Impact Innovation Fund, managed by 3xP Global. Other investors included Techstars, COREangels Lisboa, COREangels Porto and Angels Way, a Portuguese fund backed by a community of 436 small investors.

“Intuitivo was born from a teacherʼs request and continues to be developed together with teachers. Our goal is simple: to give time back to those who teach,” said João Guimarães, co-founder and CEO of Intuitivo.

About Intuitivo

Founded in 2021 by Guimarães, Duarte Oliveira and Diogo Silva, Intuitivo is a digital platform that helps teachers create, schedule and grade tests and share feedback with students. It serves schools and universities, from primary education to higher education.

Teachers can create tests from scratch, use a shared question library or use AI to turn old PDF tests into interactive digital assessments that are graded automatically. Students can access their tests through a single link without creating an account or installing any software.

The platform allows teachers to monitor tests in real time, prevent cheating and track student performance through automatic reports by student, class and exercise.

Intuitivo aims to reduce teachers’ workload. According to the OECD’s TALIS 2024 survey, teachers spend just 43% of their working time on actual teaching. Portugal ranked first among the 44 countries surveyed for time spent on assessment and grading.

Intuitivo estimates that its platform will help teachers save around 165,000 working hours in the 2025/26 school year. The startup has 75,000 registered teachers and more than 200 contracts with municipalities, school groups and private schools, covering over 500 schools across Portugal.
