“For years, patients have had to choose between expensive orthodontics with constant clinic visits, or at-home solutions without adequate medical follow-up. At Impress, we were born to close that gap. Our technology features an artificial intelligence engine powered by a global database of 500,000 patients, which allows us to multiply the efficiency of our clinics ten times, reduce in-person visits by 80%, and make quality medical care more accessible. The backing of the EIB represents a seal of guarantee in the HealthTech companies’ ecosystem in Europe, confirms our vision, and places us in an advantageous position to consolidate our model in the region,” says Vladimir Lupenko, co-founder and CEO of Impress.
“The digital transformation of the healthcare sector offers significant opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of services provided to citizens. This operation reflects the EIB’s commitment to supporting innovative European growth companies like Impress that leverage AI to build cutting-edge solutions and expand their footprint across Europe, reinforcing EU leadership in HealthTech innovation,” adds María Romano, Head of the EIB Group Office in Spain.

Founded in Barcelona in 2019 by Vladimir Lupenko, Diliara Lupenko and Khaled Kasem, Impress is a healthcare technology company specialising in invisible orthodontic treatments. It combines in-person care at specialised clinics with AI-powered technology to monitor patients throughout their treatment.
Impress currently operates in 10 countries across Europe and the United States. The company has more than 110 clinics and has treated over 500,000 patients worldwide. In Spain, it operates 22 clinics.
The latest investment will support the development of Impress’s own technology platform. The company aims to build an AI-powered healthcare system that manages the entire patient journey, from the first consultation to the completion of treatment.
The platform includes 3D intraoral scans taken at clinics. These scans provide detailed images of a patient's teeth and help predict tooth movement more accurately than traditional dental moulds.
Impress also uses AI to help plan treatments and track patients' progress. Its mobile app allows patients to stay connected with their care team and monitor their treatment as it progresses.
One of the company's latest innovations is an AI-powered smile simulator. Impress says it can create a visual preview of a patient's smile before and after treatment in just three seconds, without requiring manual work.
