Apron, a London-based fintech platform that helps SMB owners raised $15 million in Series A funding.
Bessemer Venture Partners and Visionaries Club joined existing investor Index Ventures in the Series A round, which was led by Index Ventures.
“In consumer electronics, you need to understand the hardware as well as the software – that’s why Apple has been so successful. For Apron, you can think of our payments platform as the hardware, and our carefully designed workflows as the software. We’re not just a slick app, but a critical cog in the business machine that keeps small businesses moving forward”, Bogdan Uzbekov said.
A group of individuals who had spent years developing products for numerous international fintech companies founded Apron.
Bogdan Uzbekov, the founder of Apron and a former product lead at Revolut and Square’s European operations, launched the company earlier this year. Apron plans to use the investment to grow its current team of 20 employees.
Every small business needs an ally like Apron because they work well together and quickly pay your invoices. So you can resume advancing your business instead of slogging through administrative tasks.
