SUMMARY
- Deepslate, a Berlin-based voice AI startup, has raised €7.7 million in seed funding led by 42CAP.
- The company develops speech-to-speech AI models focused on European languages.
- Its technology is hosted entirely within the European Union, with a focus on data sovereignty.
The funding also received support from Alstin Capital, existing investor SIVentures, and several business angels. Deepslate will use the investment to further develop its voice AI technology and grow its business.
"For our customers, data sovereignty is not a nice-to-have, it is a prerequisite. And either it can be verified or it is worthless. That is why we disclose where the computing happens, who our subprocessors are and what is still open, "said Paskal Paesler, co-founder of Deepslate.
Deepslate will use the new funding to expand its AI model training and European data programme. The company wants to improve how its voice AI understands and responds to users.

A key focus will be on German street names, personal names, and regional dialects. This will help Deepslate make its voice technology more accurate for German-speaking users.

The company also plans to reduce response times and improve the overall quality of its AI-generated voices.
Deepslate will expand its sales and marketing teams and increase its production capacity in European data centres to handle a growing number of calls.
Deepslate develops its own speech-to-speech AI models. Instead of first turning spoken words into text, the technology processes speech directly, helping AI respond more naturally.
The company focuses on European languages and keeps its entire technology infrastructure within the European Union (EU).
