Cognitive Credit Lands €35.7M to Expand AI Credit Markets Platform

London-based Cognitive Credit, which provides corporate credit data, analytics and AI technology, has raised €35.73 million ($40 million) in a strategic growth investment.

The round was led by global growth equity firm Summit Partners with continued support from existing investor ETFS Capital. The company previously raised €8.93 million ($10 million) in a Series B round led by ETFS Capital in September 2024 and €7.17 million (£6 million) in a Series A round led by Fitch Ventures in November 2021.

“High-quality data at speed and scale is critical to powering AI workflows that credit professionals will increasingly rely on for high-stakes decisions,” said Chris Bon, a Partner at Summit Partners who has joined the Cognitive Credit Board of Directors.

“Demand for credit-specialist technology will continue to accelerate from here, and we are pleased to partner with Summit Partners on our next phase of growth. With the imminent launch of DealConnect, ongoing innovation in our AI deployments, and many additional capabilities planned for 2027, we’re offering credit teams the highest quality data and analytics they require for differentiated analysis and high-impact decision-making,” said Slater, founder and CEO of Cognitive Credit.

About Cognitive Credit

Founded in 2017 by Robert Slater, Cognitive Credit was built by former credit analysts who saw the limitations of using tools designed for equity markets to analyse corporate credit. The company aims to bring better digital tools to the corporate credit market, which is one of the world’s largest asset classes. According to the OECD’s Global Debt Report 2026, nearly €12.5 trillion ($14 trillion) was raised in this market in 2025.

Cognitive Credit offers a web-based platform that supports the entire credit research process by combining verified data, analytics and AI tools. Its technology analyses hundreds of thousands of financial reports to provide credit models and financial reporting data for more than 3,500 corporate bond and loan issuers across the US, Europe and emerging markets.

Cognitive Credit offers a web application, an Excel add-in that brings its financial data directly into spreadsheets, and a REST API that helps institutions connect its tools with their existing systems. It also provides a Claude Connector, allowing analysts to search company information and get financial insights directly through Claude.
