Amsterdam Fintech Duqu Raises €1.5 Mn to Tackle B2B Invoice Delays

Sep 24, 2026 | By Oliver Bennett

Amsterdam-based fintech Duqu has raised €1.5 million in pre-Seed funding from Curiosity VC and No Such Ventures. The company provides short-term financing to businesses against unpaid B2B invoices and uses AI to assess funding applications.

SUMMARY

  • Duqu raised €1.5 million in pre-Seed funding.
  • The round was backed by Curiosity VC and No Such Ventures.
  • The company will use the funding to expand its platform and help businesses manage cash flow more easily.

Duqu helps businesses access money they have already earned but are still waiting to receive from customers. This gives companies access to cash before their invoices are paid.

The company is addressing the cash-flow problems caused by late invoice payments. Duqu says 46% of B2B invoices in the Netherlands are paid after their due dates. Delays can make it harder for businesses to cover everyday costs such as salaries, inventory, marketing and hiring.

Maas de Goede, co-founder of Duqu, said: "Businesses can arrange almost everything instantly today, yet after completing the work they can still wait weeks to get paid. That no longer matches the pace at which businesses operate. Growth cannot wait for an invoice to be paid."

Duqu will use the new funding to expand its working capital platform, helping more businesses access cash while they wait for customers to pay their invoices.

The company will also invest in its AI-powered underwriting technology, which helps assess businesses and their funding needs more efficiently.

Duqu reviews a company’s unpaid B2B invoices and can provide an advance based on the invoice value. Unlike traditional factoring, businesses keep ownership of their invoices and continue managing their customer relationships.

There is no minimum or maximum funding amount, and businesses only pay a fee when they use the service. Once an advance is approved, the money is transferred within 24 hours, and in many cases, it arrives in less than an hour.
