Arke Telekom lands €1M from ACT Venture Partners

Arke Telekom, a defence and communications technology company, has raised €1 million from ACT Venture Partners, a venture capital firm focused on deeptech investments.

The company will use the funding to expand internationally and further develop its communication technology for unmanned systems.

As unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) become smaller, cheaper and more common in military operations, keeping them connected remains a challenge. Signal interference can disrupt communication, while systems built for larger military platforms may not work well with smaller drones.

Founded in 2014 by Barış Karadeniz, Tolga Numanoğlu and Saygun Önay, Arke Telekom develops wireless communication technology for unmanned systems. Its main product, ArkeLink, combines anti-jamming technology with a self-healing mesh network to keep unmanned systems connected in challenging environments, including areas where GNSS signals are unavailable.

About Arke Telekom

Barış Karadeniz, co-founder and CTO of Arke Telekom, said reliable communication in electronic warfare environments requires networks that can adapt to changing conditions and continue working when individual links fail.

Commenting on the investment, Dr. Saygun Önay, co-founder and CEO of Arke Telekom, said the funding represents a step towards introducing ArkeLink to international markets. He highlighted ACT Venture Partners' technical expertise, experience in deeptech investing and international network as factors that could support the company's expansion.

Arke Telekom has also been selected for NATO DIANA, a defence technology accelerator that gives companies access to testing facilities, industry partners and international networks.
