Cambridge Aerospace Raises $300 Mn Series C at $3.4B Valuation

The company develops affordable interceptor missiles designed for European and allied militaries. Its goal is to provide air defence systems that can be produced and deployed at a larger scale.

Cambridge Aerospace will use the new funding to increase its manufacturing capacity. The investment will help the company meet existing contracts, take on new orders, and continue improving its current products.

The funding round was led by US growth investor DFJ Growth. Existing investors, including Lux, Accel, Lakestar, Never Lift, Ora Global, and Elad Gil & Co., also participated in the round. The company will also use the funding to develop and launch new defence capabilities.

The addition of these funds will allow us to continue to scale our manufacturing and our delivery to meet the pace of threats, and the needs of Allied nations,” said Steven Barrett, co-founder and CEO of Cambridge Aerospace.

Cambridge Aerospace was founded less than two years ago and brings together people with experience in academia, the military, and the technology industry.

Barrett is a former aeronautics professor at MIT and joined the University of Cambridge in April 2024. Sylvan, the company’s Chief Commercial Officer, spent more than 10 years in the Royal Marines before moving into defence technology. He later became head of UK business development at Anduril.

Hussain, another key member of the team, has founded several technology companies, including Agon, Iconic, and Auctor. Together, the team combines academic knowledge, military experience, and technology expertise to build Cambridge Aerospace.
