Basecamp Research secures $60 million in series B round funding led by Singular, bringing its total funding to $85 million. The company builds foundational AI models on top of the world’s largest database of biological information, enhancing AI's understanding of biology for improved performance in designing complex biological systems.

Basecamp Research partners with biopharma companies and academic research institutions to create innovative protein sequences and biological systems, revolutionizing therapeutic research and development.

Singular led Basecamp Research’s funding, with additional investments from S32, redalpine, André Hoffmann, Feike Sijbesma, and Paul Polman. Noteworthy returning investors include True Ventures and Hummingbird Ventures in the recent Series B round.

The company's strategic partnership with Dr. David R Liu at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard signifies a significant step forward. Dr. Liu, a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator, and Core Member at the Broad Institute bring invaluable expertise to this collaboration.
