SUMMARY

  • Galtea, a Barcelona-based AI evaluation platform helping enterprises and developers deploy reliable AI agents in production, has raised €2.7 million ($3.2 million) in a Seed funding round.

The round was led by 42CAP, with participation from Mozilla Ventures, JME Ventures, Masia, and ABAC Nest Ventures. Including a 2024 pre-Seed round of nearly €750k ($870k), Galtea has now raised a total of €3.5 million ($4.1 million).

Founded in 2024 by Jorge Palomar and Baybars Külebi, and spun off from the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre, Galtea provides enterprise AI teams with continuous, dynamic test scenarios and tailored metrics to evaluate AI agents, helping teams make informed deployment decisions.

AI testing is a major bottleneck in the industry, costing an estimated €11.2 billion ($13 billion) annually across Europe and the US. Galtea aims to overcome this by offering trusted, time-efficient, and affordable test scenarios, including a new self-service model with a two-week free trial.

The 12-person team already serves customers including Telefonica and ABANCA, along with startups and enterprises. Galtea reports that clients have achieved 71% cost reductions in AI validation, translating to an estimated 10X ROI.

The new funding will support the expansion of Galtea’s commercial and engineering teams and further develop the platform for generating high-quality, use case-specific test scenarios for generative AI agents.

Jorge Palomar, co-founder and CEO at Galtea, said, “Access to sufficient, affordable testing data is significantly impacting the rate at which AI teams can deploy. Many teams take shortcuts or rely on inadequate generic benchmarks to bypass what are extreme levels of cost.

“Thorough testing and simulations for accuracy, performance, behaviour, and security are the only way developers can know how their platform will perform in a real-world setting. Galtea is providing generative AI developer teams with infrastructure to overcome barriers to AI adoption and deploy systems reliably, scalably, and efficiently.”
