[Funding alert] UK-based Warwick Acoustics Secures £7Million in Funding

The corporation plans to increase manufacturing capacity and invest the money in a brand-new, cutting-edge manufacturing facility.

Under the direction of CEO Dr Mike Grant, Warwick Acoustics creates electrostatic speakers that have superior sound quality than traditional speakers and provide designers more freedom when it comes to how the cabin is laid out.

In contrast to conventional loudspeakers, the devices are made from easily recyclable and upcycled materials and do not require the use of rare earth metals.

The company, which originated as a spin-out from Warwick University's engineering department, has already made use of its technology to introduce a line of high-end headphones that retail for up to £50,000 and have won over 30 industry awards.
