Vuelo Raises €64M To Build An AI-powered Travel Booking Platform

The funding will support the development of its AI-powered travel platform which enables users to discover book, finance and plan trips through a single, seamless interface.

The round includes €6.9 million in equity funding led by Backed VC and Play Ventures alongside €57 million in debt financing from Viola Credit.

Founded in 2025 by Jasper Dykes and Edgars Kohs, Vuelo stands out by replacing the traditional search based approach with an AI engine that understands user context.

From suggesting family friendly travel during school holidays to recommending destinations based on past trips the platform delivers highly personalized experiences.

It also integrates tailored payment plans into each recommendation, bringing financial planning into the booking journey from the outset.

Vuelo’s strategy highlights a wider trend of using AI and data to transform traditional industries. For startups it demonstrates the importance of tapping into underserved markets with smart tech driven solutions.

Vuelo aims to bridge this gap with an all-in-one platform that seamlessly combines booking and financing something legacy players like Google and Expedia have yet to fully deliver.
