UK AI Startup Scope Raises €17.2M To Speed Up Industrial Inspections

The round was led by Index Ventures, with participation from Susa Ventures, Entrepreneurs First, and Syndicate 1, alongside angel investors from companies including DeepMind, MongoDB, Omio, and Microsoft AI.

Founded in 2024 by Low and CTO Jakob Cassiman, Scope uses AI to modernise industrial inspections by helping teams capture field data, automate reporting, and access relevant context in minutes.

The company aims to replace outdated, manual inspection processes that rely on paper-based workflows and slow reporting systems. Its AI-powered platform enables inspectors to record findings via audio, video, or notes, automatically structure data, and generate reports significantly faster while reducing errors.

Scope highlights major inefficiencies in the TIC sector, where inspections are critical for safety and infrastructure maintenance but often require days of post-site analysis for relatively short field visits. The company says its technology can cut reporting time by up to 10x and reduce errors by 95%.

The startup also addresses industry workforce challenges noting long qualification times for inspectors and a growing skills shortage as experienced technicians retire. Its platform helps new and existing inspectors work more efficiently through guided workflows and instant access to historical and contextual data.
