Tequipy, a company that helps businesses ship, manage, service, and recover employee IT devices in more than 180 countries, has raised over €3 million in a funding round led by Smedvig Ventures, with support from Manta Ray and Unfold.vc.
The company already supports over 150 fast-growing technology businesses, including Booksy, Connecteam, ICEYE, RemoFirst, and Taptap Send. Tequipy says it has grown seven times over the past year.
The new funding will help the company expand its services beyond hardware management into software and security operations.

For companies with employees working across many countries, managing laptops and IT devices has become much more complicated than simply buying equipment. Devices must be purchased, set up with company security policies, shipped internationally, repaired when needed, collected when employees leave, and then reused, stored, or resold.
Many businesses still handle these tasks manually using spreadsheets, local suppliers, shipping companies, warehouses, and multiple service providers. While some global vendors offer partial solutions, they often rely on expensive contracts, centralized storage systems, and higher hardware costs, making the process slower and less flexible for rapidly growing companies.
According to Tequipy’s co-founder and CEO, Tomek Stawarski:
“I’ve seen ambitious, talented IT specialists who should have been building scalable systems end up repacking boxes and wiping laptops with rags, while also trying to solve the problem of a device stuck at the border.
Across thousands of companies, this is not an exception. It is an everyday reality. We built Tequipy so IT can supervise the process instead of executing every step of it by hand.”
ustomers often begin using Tequipy in one country and later expand its services to many more locations. From the customer’s perspective, everything is managed through a single system. Behind the scenes, Tequipy’s software coordinates hundreds of local partners who handle sourcing, setup, delivery, repairs, and device collection directly within each employee’s country. This approach removes the need for central warehouses, cross-border shipping, and customs management for clients.
Tequipy started by focusing on hardware management because it is one of the most difficult parts of IT operations to automate. The company’s larger goal is to eliminate around 80 percent of the manual work global IT teams deal with every day.
The next step for the company is expanding into software and security management. This includes handling employee accounts, software licences, passwords, access controls, onboarding and offboarding processes, and other tasks connected to the full employee lifecycle and IT security operations.
"Tequipy has unlocked exceptional operational efficiency in global IT hardware management driven by their back-end automation. For Tequipy’s customers, this means significant time and cost saved through a service and platform they can’t live without," says Freddie Kalfayan from Smedvig Ventures.
According to Lawrence Barclay, managing partner at Manta Ray;
"Distributed hiring is now the default, but the operational layer around it – devices, accounts, access – is still stitched together country by country.
Tequipy is providing the missing layer. This team is one of the best placed to solve this, having built this system inside Europe’s most valuable private company.”
About Tequipy
Tequipy is a B2B hardware-as-a-service (HaaS) and IT operations platform that helps companies manage employee IT devices in more than 180 countries. The platform automates tasks such as buying, setting up, delivering, servicing, and collecting laptops and other devices for employees around the world. Instead of shipping devices internationally, Tequipy sources equipment locally through authorized resellers in different countries. This helps businesses avoid cross-border shipping problems, customs delays, and the need for large central warehouses. The platform also supports device configuration by integrating with management tools like Jamf and Intune. Tequipy handles the full lifecycle of IT hardware, from procurement and setup to repairs, retrieval, and replacement, helping companies reduce manual IT work and simplify global operations.
