SUMMARY
- Quantum Bridge Technologies has secured $8 million in Series A funding led by Primo Capital SGR to accelerate the adoption of quantum-safe cybersecurity solutions worldwide.
Founded in 2019 by Mattia Montagna and Hoi-Kwong Lo, the company emerged from a leading quantum security research group with a mission to protect digital infrastructure against future quantum computing threats.
Quantum Bridge addresses risks to existing cryptographic systems through its patented Distributed Symmetric Key Establishment (DSKE) protocol, which enables organisations to create, distribute, and manage encryption keys using a decentralised approach. This reduces single points of failure, improves scalability, and strengthens long-term security.
Built to integrate with existing systems and security environments the platform enables organisations to introduce quantum-safe protection across multiple layers without disrupting current operations.

By bringing advanced security capabilities into real-world commercial use, Quantum Bridge supports businesses in transitioning to stronger and more scalable cybersecurity frameworks.
The funding round included participation from investors such as Wayra (Telefónica), Cadenza VC, Club degli Investitori angels, HPE, and Bacchus Venture Capital. With this latest investment, Quantum Bridge’s total funding has reached $16 million.
“National security can’t wait for perfect conditions,” said Mattia Montagna, co-founder and CEO of Quantum Bridge Technologies.
“We build quantum-safe systems that work inside real networks today systems designed to keep protecting sovereign communications as the threat landscape evolves. This funding means we can meet more organisations where they are, and get them protected faster.”
