"Many of our customers work with low margins, so even small errors can quickly add up. The problem is that they’re often only discovered after the money has been paid. We want companies to catch and fix errors before they hit the bottom line, "said Nermina Suljevic, co-founder and CEO of Plinto.

Plinto was founded in early 2025 by Jakob Nielsen, Nermina Suljevic and Sebastian Rehnby. The Copenhagen-based startup develops AI agents that help businesses find and fix errors in financial transactions.

The platform automates checks that finance teams usually carry out manually. It helps ensure that transactions follow company contracts, budgets and internal rules.

Plinto connects with the systems businesses already use, including enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, documents, banking systems, Slack and Microsoft Teams.

Its AI agents check financial transactions against agreed terms, identify problems and gather the documents needed to investigate them.

When an error is found, the AI agents can contact the relevant people, ask suppliers to correct invoices, request credit notes or prepare adjustments for approval. This helps finance teams save time and manage transactions more efficiently.
