Its platform delivers actionable insights for agriculture, food production, and health, unlocking data previously unavailable at scale, such as embryo sex, seed viability or produce quality without destructive testing.
Proven in the poultry industry Orbem’s solutions enhance efficiency, reduce waste and increase transparency across biological value chains. Its flagship product, Genus Focus, uses AI-powered MRI to determine the sex of a poultry egg in under one second, offering a humane alternative to culling male chicks. With over 170 million eggs scanned the company is scaling to meet growing international demand.
Building on this foundation Orbem has launched Genus Scale, a solution that assesses egg fertilization before incubation, enabling hatcheries to identify non-viable eggs early, improve efficiency, and redirect viable eggs for food use.
The Series B funding will support Orbem’s U.S. expansion, scaling of poultry solutions and entry into the fruit and vegetable sector with non-destructive quality analysis. The company will also continue developing healthcare applications leveraging large-scale biological data.
About Orbem
Orbem uses AI-powered MRI to industrialize non-invasive analysis of biological materials, from fruits and seeds to eggs and the human body. By turning the world’s largest biological datasets into actionable insights, Orbem helps food producers, researchers, and innovators improve efficiency, reduce waste and make smarter, data-driven decisions.
