Nami Surgical funding news – UK-based Nami Surgical Secures $4Million in Funding

The business plans to utilise the money to grow both its R&D department and its operations. Under the direction of Dr Rebecca Cleary, the co-founder and chief technology officer, and Nico Fenu, the CEO, Nami Surgical creates miniature ultrasonic medical devices for surgical applications and helps medical device manufacturers to bring innovation to ultrasonic surgery in a novel way.

By releasing a high-performing, compact ultrasonic scalpel, the business has broken through major obstacles in the field of robotically assisted surgery.

Nico Fenu said: “Robot-assisted surgery has become increasingly popular in recent years and is now widely used in various surgical procedures including urology, gynaecology, and colorectal. We have pilot programmes running with healthcare and medical device groups worldwide, including in the United States, and we now look forward to the commercialisation phase with the support of our new investors.”
