
Swiss electronics startup Minysa has secured €163,000 (CHF150,000) in funding from Venture Kick. The investment will support the company's growth and technology development efforts.
The funding will be used to speed up the development of Minysa's next-generation gallium nitride (GaN) control chips, which are designed to improve the performance and efficiency of advanced power electronic systems.
GaN-based power devices can perform better than traditional silicon-based technologies. They offer higher power output, better energy efficiency, and produce less heat during operation.
Despite these benefits, the wider use of GaN technology has been limited because it requires complex control systems, must meet strict reliability standards, and goes through challenging testing and certification processes.

The company is initially focusing on the European space electronics market, where efficiency, reliability, and reducing dependence on foreign technology are becoming increasingly important.
Minysa has already attracted interest from the space and high-reliability electronics sectors. The company is working with four space industry customers and is involved in two European Space Agency-funded programs. The new funding will help Minysa develop its first GaN gate-driver chips for space and other mission-critical applications.
