Naboo Acquires UK’s pro-ven to Expand AI-Powered Corporate Event Management Business

SUMMARY

  • Naboo has acquired UK-based event specialist pro-ven, which will now operate as Naboo UK.
  • The combined business will manage €269 million ($300 million) in meetings and events worldwide.
  • The acquisition was financed equally through equity and debt.

Paris-based event technology company Naboo has acquired UK event specialist pro-ven. The deal brings together two companies in the meetings and events industry and strengthens Naboo’s presence in the UK market.

As part of the deal, pro-ven will now operate under the name Naboo UK. The combined business will manage €269 million ($300 million) worth of meetings and events worldwide, expanding its reach in the global events market.

The acquisition was financed through a combination of equity and debt, split equally. The deal follows Naboo’s €58.7 million Series B funding round earlier this year, which was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Notion Capital, ISAI and Ternel.

“The future category leader in the M&E spend management market will be a pure player. Both event planners and procurement leaders have very high expectations in terms of user experience, embedded compliance, payment simplification, spend analytics and transparency. It cannot be achieved as a side business by TMCs who are still very much focused on transforming the transient travel experience. Together with pro-ven, that is the leader we are building,” said Maxime Eduardo, co-founder and CEO of Naboo.

“I am incredibly excited for our clients and our team to make such a step into the AI-native world, which I believe is the right technology to create a world leader in the M&E market,” said Julian Laxon, founder and Managing Director of pro-ven, who will continue in his role to help as Naboo builds out its UK presence.

Founded in 2022 by Eduardo, Antoine Servant, Lucien Bredin and Jean-Louis Villeminot, Naboo is a platform that helps businesses book, manage and organise corporate events. These include meetings, conferences, exhibitions and incentive trips. The platform offers venue booking, AI-powered purchasing tools, corporate payment cards, invoice management and event planning features.

Naboo aims to simplify corporate event management by bringing different tools together in one AI-powered platform. Its AI agents can help businesses find venues, compare quotes, review contracts and process payments automatically. This helps reduce manual work and makes event planning easier for companies.

According to Naboo, its platform helps clients save an average of 12% on each event. Its customers include major companies such as Google, Meta, Microsoft and Siemens. The company also works with a quarter of the companies listed on France’s CAC 40 stock market index under exclusive contracts.

pro-ven has spent 20 years building strong relationships with businesses across the UK.

Founded in 2005, pro-ven has spent 20 years building strong relationships with businesses across the UK, Europe and other global markets. The company helps businesses find venues and suppliers, negotiate prices, manage approval processes, handle invoices and manage lodge cards used for business payments.

The partnership combines Naboo’s AI-powered technology with pro-ven’s experience and strong customer relationships in the UK market. Naboo has been expanding its UK presence since opening a London office in 2025 and has already signed clients such as KPMG and HSBC. The acquisition is expected to strengthen its position in the UK corporate events market.
