Luminar Ventures Raises €65M Second Fund focusing on AI and fintech in the Nordics, Plenty of angel investors have taken an interest in the latest fund and Luminar has also launched a Prominent Angel Program. Those angels include Johan Mohlin, Umut Alp, Ted Nelson, Jenny Sinclair, Karin Hallin, Björn Melinder, and Daniel Wisenhoff.
Although the Seed capital fund is sector-neutral and wants to invest in companies from the Nordic region, it claims to have an obvious liking for AI, long-term viability and fintech.
Jacob Key, Founding Partner at Luminar Ventures said, “Our journey, since our initial close of this second fund in 2022, has been super exciting. We’ve aligned with eight ambitious and talented founding teams across the Nordics. As we are previously founders and angels ourselves, we truly appreciate the value that our angel program can add to our founders and to Luminar, and it helps to shape a comprehensive ecosystem ready to nurture the next generation of Unicorns,”.
About Luminar Ventures
Swedish seed stage VC Luminar Ventures has 600 MSEK ($60 M) in investment. Magnus Bergman and Jacob Key, two successful angel investors, as well as Sting, Sweden’s top startup platform, were to blame for its founding.
The fund’s objective is to provide Nordic-based early-stage technology businesses who have an interest in using digital technologies and innovations to take over or alter large industries with coated seed stage financing and active operational support.
Magnus Bergman and Jacob Key, the founding partners, have an excellent record of creating and expanding creative firms, including Truecaller, Prezi, Sportamore, FirstVet, and Challengermode, just to name a few of the 50+ firms. They are also previous serial entrepreneurs and active angel investors.
