Linkener Raises €7.5 Million to Expand AI-Powered Energy Management Technology

Energy technology startup Linkener has raised €7.5 million in a funding round led by Klima Energy Transition Fund, an energy transition fund managed by Alantra. Existing investor GoHub Ventures also continues to support the company.

SUMMARY

  • Linkener raised €7.5 million in funding led by Klima Energy Transition Fund, with continued support from GoHub Ventures.
  • The company will use the funding to develop its AI-powered energy management technology and automate energy data and bill analysis.
  • The funding will also support business expansion and acquisitions of complementary companies and technologies.

Linkener has developed an Intelligent Energy Management System (SIGE) that helps businesses and organisations monitor and manage their energy consumption. The system uses the company's own remote metering technology to collect energy usage data.

Linkener's technology helps businesses analyse their energy consumption and identify ways to use energy more efficiently. By understanding their energy usage, organisations can make better decisions, reduce waste, and potentially lower their energy costs.

José Ignacio Ruiz, CEO of Linkener, commented: "This funding round will allow us to accelerate the transformation of a highly fragmented sector, where energy management remains rooted in practices from 40 years ago. We want businesses to have reliable data and technology to understand how much they spend on energy, anticipate their costs and make better decisions."

Linkener will use the new funding to improve its technology and develop its own AI models for energy management. The company aims to use AI and data analysis to process energy data and bills more quickly and efficiently.

Linkener plans to use AI to detect unusual energy usage and identify opportunities to reduce costs. These tools will help businesses better understand their energy consumption and find ways to save money.

The funding will also support Linkener’s business expansion. The company plans to grow its existing operations and acquire other businesses, products, and technologies that complement its services. These efforts will help expand its solutions and strengthen its technology and commercial teams.
