SUMMARY
- Greenpixie, an Energy SaaS startup, has raised £4.7 million in a pre-Series A funding round to help large enterprises reduce wasted IT spending and improve cloud efficiency.
The round was led by VERBUND X Ventures, with participation from Octopus Ventures, Armajaro Holdings, and Green Angel Ventures.
Greenpixie provides sustainability intelligence for cloud and AI infrastructure, helping companies reduce carbon emissions, water usage, and unnecessary costs from inefficient cloud usage.
With rising global data centre demand driven by AI, much of enterprise cloud spend is still wasted due to lack of visibility.

The company integrates with major cloud providers to help IT teams identify and remove unused “zombie” resources, optimize AI workloads, and choose lower-carbon regions for deployment.
This enables enterprises, including Fortune 1000 companies like Mastercard, to make more sustainable and cost-efficient technology decisions while scaling digital operations.
John Ridd, CEO and Co-Founder, says: “Efficient use of cloud and AI is possible when the right culture and tooling is embraced. With Greenpixie’s high fidelity sustainability data enterprises can maximise the full potential of their intelligence.
This funding will enable us to accelerate our mission and continue our global reach in these pivotal times.”
