Let’s look at how
Meet this woman, Julia Bösch, who always wanted to be an entrepreneur. Julia started her entrepreneurial journey with an interesting trip, which sparked an idea in her mind. Because of her courageous behaviour and strong willpower to achieve great things, Julia took a risk. She left her well-paying job and then implemented that idea by launching a startup that has become a multimillion-dollar enterprise.
About Julia Bösch
Julia Bösch is CEO and co-founder of Outfittery; prior to this, she worked as Head of International Business Development at Zalando. She graduated from Columbia Business School with an MBA. After graduation, she worked at Zalando, where she meet Anna Alex, her co-founder, and learned a lot about scaling a business at high speed.
What inspired her for Outfittery?
One day, Julia, her friend Anna Alex—whom she had met at Zalando—and another friend made the decision to go on a trip for shopping and enjoyment. Julia's friend didn't like shopping, so he hired a personal shopper for around $100 per hour. In the US, this is common, particularly for those who have less time.
Usually, the friend didn’t enjoy shopping for clothes, but this experience was fantastic for him. He enjoyed this shopping trip, and this was the thing that sparked an idea in her mind.
What idea came to Julia’s mind?
Julia and Anna thought that this is an amazing concept, so they decided to initiate it in Europe and explore ways to enhance its convenience as an online experience. This is how Outfittery was born.
What is Outfittery?

In May 2019, the business merged with the Curated Shopping Group (Modomoto, among other brands). Since then, it has employed almost 450 people, the majority of whom are stylists. It is currently operating in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden, Denmark, and France.
