London-based Imaginario AI raises €900k pre-seed funding. In addition to Techstars, Comcast, Blue Lake VC, Earthling VC, and an exceptional group of strategic angel investors which included AI engineers from Meta and Google, 216 Capital led this round.
The core artificial intelligence (AI) that powers Imaginario AI's platform was developed in the US while taking part in Techstars' Comcast Lift Labs Accelerator, a mediatech incubator with an acceptance rate of fewer than 1%.

Traditionally, time-tagging and labelling systems have been utilised to organise and search video footage. These systems are applied manually, which makes the process laborious, prone to error, and hard to maintain.
As of right now, a great deal of web videos can only be found using auto-generated transcripts, which restricts video search to keywords. Both systems have been replaced by Imaginario AI's technology, which enables full video archives to be searchable across dialogue, images, and sounds with little to no processing and without the need for human involvement.

Now, London-based Imaginario AI is trying to apply the most recent advances in artificial intelligence to video material. To this end, it is utilising a novel kind of platform and API to curate and comprehend video content at scale, allowing search and conversion without the need for metadata or complicated technological processes.
Jose M. Puga commented on the new fundraising: “This is an incredibly exciting time for us and we’re thrilled to have attracted a real A-list of investors for our pre-seed funding. This capital will be used to further develop our existing products and create video AI agents which will simplify Imaginario AI’s user experience and automate specific tasks for media supply chain, production and marketing teams. For example, from a simple text prompt, we will be able to create multiple video compilations, custom reels for any social media platform, enrich thousands of hours of content, or identify sensitive scenes for removal prior to broadcast across regions.”
Puga added: “We believe that in 5 to 10 years companies, even beyond video-heavy industries, will rely on personal AI agents for specialised video tasks and efficient workflow coordination. These will be your creative digital twins, who will provide you with recommendations based on your taste and style better than anyone. In the next few years, click and point software will merge with conversational AI agents, bringing new ways for humans to interact with media, and Imaginario AI will be at the forefront of this change”.
