Germany-based startup pyck has raised €2.6M in Seed funding to grow its open-source, AI-powered warehouse software toolkit for the logistics industry.

SUMMARY

  • Germany-based startup pyck has raised €2.6M in Seed funding to grow its open-source, AI-powered warehouse software toolkit for the logistics industry.

Thorben Rothe, Partner at IRIS, says, “At IRIS, we look for outstanding tech teams who are reshaping critical infrastructure categories with long-term impact. The warehousing software stack has been stuck in the past for too long – pyck’s open and flexible approach is exactly what the industry needs.”

“We’re excited to support their mission to give warehouse operators back control through powerful, user-friendly tools built for the AIera.”

The funding round was led by Paris-based IRIS, with support from XPRESS Ventures, Rethink Ventures, John Baysore (former CEO of Dematic), and other angel investors.

Founded in 2023, pyck is building a new type of warehouse software. It offers an open-source toolkit that helps logistics teams create modular, AI-ready warehousing systems.

This toolkit allows operators to build and scale their own solutions while keeping full control over their operations, data, and costs. It solves key problems in traditional warehouse software, which often restrict flexibility and innovation.

pyck was founded by Dr.-Ing. Daniel Jarr, Maximilian Mack, and Matthias Nagel. Jarr previously led innovation at Dematic, while Mack and Nagel founded Dozeo and Bitfactory, respectively. Their mission is to help logistics teams move away from rigid software systems that limit updates and scalability.

Just a year after launching, pyck is already working with three logistics companies. It’s also rolling out a new data manager tool that lets warehouse teams set and manage data standards across locations—without needing to change existing software or databases. This supports pyck’s goal of giving operators more control.

The new funding will help pyck grow its team, improve its product, and expand into more regions.

Co-founder and CEO, Dr.-Ing. Daniel Jarr, says, “Every warehouse has unique processes, inventory or operational models. Yet, Warehouse Management Software (WMS) vendors offer off-the-shelf software that requires a lot of financial investment and time to make it match their needs. pyck allows to create unique warehouse software that can be implemented and adjusted 60 per cent faster and cheaper.”

“This new funding will support the constant evolution of our open source toolkit to allow the integration of new tech, infrastructure and partners to the system,” adds Jarr.
