Founders Factory partnership news – Founders Factory partners with Germany-based Vonovia
Jul 1, 2024 | By Team SR
Founders Factory, an international startup studio, has partnered with Vonovia, Europe's largest housing company, located in Germany. The new enterprise studio will provide technological advancements that facilitate the expansion and accessibility of reasonably priced, climate-neutral housing. The collaboration emphasises the goal of satisfying the increasing demands of developing built environments.
Vonovia will contribute money and a tactical edge to the project in its early stages. The housing corporation gets minority stakes in each new venture in exchange.
The new venture studio combines Founders Factory's experience creating fintech, mission-driven, and climate tech firms with Vonovia's data and insights as the biggest residential company in Europe.
Because of this, it offers a rare chance for business owners to address some of the DACH-region's most pressing social, economic, and environmental issues, such as climate change and changing demographics in the population.

Venture studio Vonovia/Founders Factory will collaborate with visionary business owners to develop innovative real estate, financial, and climate-related enterprises. The founders will collaborate closely with both businesses to help the development of smart, connected cities by bridging the gap between the requirements of the populace and the areas they occupy.
Through this collaboration, we will investigate how cutting-edge technologies like digital twins, generative AI, and intelligent infrastructure may be used to tackle the opportunities and problems associated with contemporary urban living.
Alexander Weihe, Head of Innovation and Business Building Vonovia SE said: “As the biggest housing company in Europe Vonovia’s strategy on sustainability and innovation has been setting standards in the property sector for several years. Vonovia aims to achieve a nearly climate neutral building stock by 2045 and affordable living remains a cornerstone of our activities. We therefore need the best innovations from startups to make our buildings and neighbourhoods sustainable and climate-neutral. The collaboration with Founders Factory will produce new solutions that our society urgently needs. We are opening up access to our expertise to support entrepreneurs who want to bring about positive change.”
Henry Lane Fox, Founders Factory CEO added: “Germany’s shifting population demographic, increasing urbanisation and climate change are challenges where innovation and entrepreneurship can be leveraged to find a solution. This mission is at the core of our partnership with Vonovia. We are excited to bring one of Europe’s largest property companies on board to provide data, insight and expertise that founders can access as they build new innovative, tech-driven ventures that meet the demands of future living.”
