Earlybird Health

Earlybird Health secures €173 million in funding The size of the independently managed fund has expanded dramatically compared to the preceding Fund, indicating a greater interest in healthcare among investors. Leading European institutional investors endorsed the new Earlybird Health Fund. Health insurers, strategic investors, as well as governmental and private organizations from throughout the region, all support this.

Investing in technological firms at every stage of their development and expansion, Earlybird was founded in 1997. Being one of the most seasoned venture capital firms in Europe, Earlybird provides its portfolio companies with access to capital markets, global networks, and strategic support in addition to financial resources.

Bending Spoons

Bending Spoons secures $155million in funding at a $2.55 billion post-money valuation from Durable Capital Partners LP and current investors Baillie Gifford, Cox Enterprises, NB Renaissance, NUO Capital, and StarTIP participated in the financing.

Alys Pharmaceuticals

Alys Pharmaceuticals, Inc. secures $100milion in funding from Medicxi. Originating from the aggregation of six asset-centric Medicxi companies, Alys boasts a robust pipeline of innovative programs and platforms targeting multiple dermatological indications.

The Company is run by co-founder and COO Thibaud Portal (formerly Galderma’s Global Head of Prescription Medicines) and Medicxi’s Francesco De Rubertis serves as Chairman of the Board. Alys Pharmaceuticals, a global leader in immuno-dermatology innovation, was created in February 2024 by world-renowned dermatologists and scientists, including Medixci.

Bob W

Bob W secures €40 million in series B round funding from Growth capital investors and well-known European entrepreneurs participated in this round, which was headed by Evli Growth Partners. With the addition of Taavet+Sten, the investment firm founded by Wise’s founder Taavet Hinrikus and Sten Tamkivi, Flashpoint, and Mikko Kodisoja, co-founder of Supercell, in addition to current investors

An ethical tech business providing hospitality services. Bob is constructing a more elegant substitute for motels and short-term rentals. Their incredibly stylish short-term rentals are a more sensible and environmentally friendly option than hotels and sporadic rentals.

Founderful

Founderful secures €78million in funding. In 2019, Lukas Weder, the co-founder of EAT.ch, Alex Stöckl, the former Switzerland Lead at Creathor Ventures, and Pascal Mathis, the co-founder of unicorn GetYourGuide, formed the company.

The top pre-seed fund in Switzerland is called Founderful. They support Switzerland’s top tech entrepreneurs in becoming worldwide market leaders by being first, quick, and kind to founders.

Finom

Finom secures €50million in series B round funding from SME banking provider, was recently headed by Northzone, a new backer, and General Catalyst, an old investor. Existing investors Cogito cash, Entrée Capital, FJLabs, s16vc, and Target Global also participated in the investment round, bringing Finom’s total cash raised to over €100 million.

According to Finom, the money will be used to enhance its product line, launch fresh marketing campaigns, and broaden its accounting services to better serve SMEs.

Established in 2019, Finom, with approximately 250 employees, maintains offices in the Netherlands and Cyprus. Additionally, it is currently employing personnel in Spain and Poland, where it provides its services.

Cambridge Mechatronics

Cambridge Mechatronics secures €37 million in funding from Atlantic Bridge. Intel Capital and Supernova acted as co-leads with further participation from Sony Innovation Fund.

Cambridge Mechatronics Limited (CML) is the world’s leader in the design and control of Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) actuators. CML’s actuators using SMA wire can be controlled to sub-micron accuracy. 

Monumental

Monumental secures $25million in funding from Plural and Hummingbird. Northzone, Foundamental and NP-Hard Ventures, as well as high-profile angel investors, also participated. The funding will help Monumental grow its world-class team of hardware and software engineers, scale the number of robots it can deploy on sites across Europe and increase the types of blocks and construction tasks the robots can manage.

Salar and Sebas created Monumental in 2021. With a 15-person team, they have since developed a vertically integrated product using their own robot hardware, software, and machine vision pipeline.

Vapaus

Vapaus secures €15 million in a debt funding from by Norion Bank. The money will support the company’s market presence in Finland and its growth throughout Sweden.

Vapaus, By offering companies the most efficient, affordable, and accessible zero-emission benefit bike service, they encourage more people to ride. Riding a bicycle to work provides obvious health benefits that improve pleasure and well-being at work. 

Greyparrot

Greyparrot secures $12.8million in funding. Bollegraaf took the financial risk. With the money, the company hopes to unite producers, waste managers, and regulators to recover and reuse waste materials in a more sustainable manner. Greyparrot assists recycling facility managers and manufacturers in recycling more and reducing waste, under the direction of CEO Mikela Druckman. 

Greyparrot, is using AI to scale recycling internationally and prevent millions of tonnes of waste from ending up in landfills and incinerators. Greyparrot is assisting the trash industry in recovering more value from waste processing lines and minimizing the environmental impact of waste by offering deeper, more intelligent insights on the composition of waste streams and their financial worth.

These startups played a major role in European Startups Funding ecosystem in this week and secured funding from Venture Capitalists, Angle Investors in different funding Rounds.
